About this test
Lekker Speed Test measures your real internet performance by exchanging data with Cloudflare's global edge network — which has points of presence in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban — so you get a fair reading of your connection. We measure ping (response time), jitter (consistency), download and upload speeds in Mbps, plus bufferbloat — how much your ping balloons when the line is saturated, which is what actually determines whether video calls and online gaming feel smooth.
Results vary based on your device, Wi-Fi signal, time of day and ISP routing. For best accuracy, connect by Ethernet if you can, close other tabs and pause downloads while testing.
